How we explore Tirthan Valley in Less than Rs 2000 ??
Nothing feels better than the unplanned things that go right. Something similar happened when he came and said what’s your plan for the evening dude? I didn’t have the answer nor he which was a call to the new fun. It was “Tirthan” this time and to add thrill to it, it was a trip completed in less than INR 2000. Can’t believe? Even we also couldn’t but that’s the truth and this brought us a hitchhiking trip.
This was a much-needed break from the everyday monotonous routine, away from the bustling place we had a great time. We explored some of the best places in Tirthan Valley.
The 2 Wanderers started from Delhi and reached “Aut” via public transport and then took the local transport. We made it to the heaven in Himachal, the long grasslands with a river flowing and few small cottages build over it to make the evening happening and refreshing in the lap of nature. In a short span of 3-4 hrs, we were in the dazzling “Tirthan valley” and had a plan to cover the stunning views of Great Himalayan National Park the same day and we did it. After reaching the gate of the National Park we realized we need an Entry pass and that needs to be taken from “Gushaini” but after requesting, we were allowed to go till a wonderful waterfall inside the park. It was a great scenic view and the trek till the National park was also mind-blowing. We captured lots of flowers and beautiful sceneries, few peaks and waterfalls and lots of photography stops. Clock was heading towards 7 in the evening when we were about to come back from the park and we were looking for some nice place on river bank where we could pitch our tent and enjoy bonfire and fortunately we found a wonderful site, that was a cottage but had gardening and lots of space for our small tent between the river and the cottage and we started preparation.
Now, it was the turn of another search operation, “search for food”, we had very little food since morning and it was a much-needed dinner and the owner of the cottage offered us delicious food for dinner and breakfast next morning and we met a couple over there who were there from a few days just to enjoy the beauty of nature and she was excited to hear our story and to see our tent from inside and after dinner we sat for long hours in frosty weather in front of bonfire with few cocktails and soon few more people joined us and everyone started sharing their stories and it was great fun all together.
We had an awesome evening and when we woke up the next day, it was a clear sky and a beautiful view outside our tent and we were feeling like can’t we stay here for long? But, unfortunately, we had to rush and head back towards other sites in Tirthan and we packed up and moved back and reached Apple Garden on the way. We enjoyed juicy fresh apples from the garden and this energized us for the whole day.
After walking little more we reached another point and sat on the banks of the river with a cup of tea in our hand and water flowing aside us, we loved it. Now, it was the turn of “Chhoie Waterfall”, another 2kms of trekking to grab the view of God’s another gift. Though we were tired we still had the place for more adventure and started walking again on the road with complete grasslands both sides and the cool breeze blowing above our ears, we enjoyed every moment of it. We saw an ISUZU coming from our backside and it stopped aside us and asked if we need any help. We boarded it and asked them to drop us at our stand from where we can get the vehicle for New Delhi and we boarded the backside of it making ourselves stand and enjoy the weather at its best. We captured all these moments and this small trip became our best trip and favorable to our wallet too. From Aut we got a direct bus to Delhi and were back with smiling faces and an amazing trip.
